I had ordered a device which didn't work so i had returned the item. As soon as the delivery person received the package, after an hour i got a call with tag scam and above Verify Amazon... I am very smart and know when to stop and stuff. But unfortunately I had presumed many calls like these have red tags. When I picked up the call, a person spoke in Hindi. He said refund couldn't be completed as some seller has some refund pending. He told to forward a link to another number . I had asked him why and he said to please cooperate. Then he sent this link from ZohoPublic . There I made a mistake. I asked my dad but since he was busy doing his work, he just told me to do whatever i wanted. I had sent it and then after 10 mins i had called they didn't pick up. Before i knew what had happened, there were alerts from random banks which had nothing to do with us that someone is trying to register. Somehow we escaped from the scammers and now every 10 mins there are notifications of him trying to register and we are receiving calls from many scammers. We have called the banks and told to block the cards. This is a life lesson for me and its really sad there are people like this out there. Its only a matter of time before it happens to you. Please be aware of such frauds. The people involved here are the return delivery person from amazon whos contact i have and his link with north indian scammers. They cant do anything now because we have decided to close the bank accounts and change it.
