I would like to file a complaint regarding a suspected online fraud involving the sale of my Canon A2500 camera through OLX. I had listed my camera for sale on OLX. A person claiming to be a camera dealer from Jaipur, Rajasthan contacted me and agreed to purchase the camera for ₹22,000. Initially, the person told me that he would make the payment only after the camera was dispatched/delivered. Since I was doubtful about this arrangement, I asked him to make an advance payment, but he refused. I then asked him for proof of his identity and business. He sent me a business card, which appeared genuine, and repeatedly assured me that he would make the complete payment. After a few days, the person arranged a courier through Delhivery, and I dispatched the camera as agreed. The parcel was delivered on 26 September 2026. After the delivery, when I contacted him regarding the payment, he suddenly claimed that the camera had arrived broken/damaged and appeared to use this as a reason for not making the agreed payment. However, I had taken photographs/videos of the camera while packing it, which show that the camera was in good condition and was properly packed before dispatch. I have retained these photographs/videos as evidence. After becoming suspicious, I conducted further research regarding the person and his claimed business. I found information indicating that the person may not actually have a physical shop at the address provided to me, which has increased my suspicion that I may have been deliberately deceived. I am currently trying to contact the person and resolve the matter, but I am concerned that he may have obtained my camera without making the agreed payment.
