Person trying to sell some body elses car through quickr

Oh ! This has to be dealt with immediate effect. I suspected a fraudulent mail. I contacted this person on phone and got to know that the number belongs to someone in Assam who has received such calls but didn't know anything about the car. After a day or two I received a mail in same regards. First mail is exactly the same.

I took the car here with me in order to use it (especially since it is a right-hand drive), but I got promoted in a key position at Orange UK who offered me another car that i can use. So now I want to sell the Indian car since I have no use for it and in this situation there is no reason to keep a India registered car in UK. I never used the car in UK.

Like I said in my previous email, the car now is in London, UK. Considering that I am busy with my job, I cannot travel to India soon to handle this sale by myself, so I have decided to hire a third party, a full service company to transport the car to India and take care of the sale. The solution is provided by eBay Motors with Escrow transaction, the secured payment services, which I am sure you've heard of. This will allow us to complete the deal safely and fast. Given the fact that I can sell the car only in India, I agree to support the delivery fees from UK to India to your address. I remind you that the car is still registered in India and has Indian documents. Also, all the customs taxes were previously paid, so there won't be anything to pay when the car will be returned to India. You just pay the price of the car that we agreed.

As we speak the car and its documents are in eBay's custody. I have already signed a contract with them and they are authorised to sell the car for me and to complete all the legal procedures needed for the sale and shipping of the car.

Here I knew there was something fishy. I tried to quote an even lesser price which she would not have agreed to.... But to my surprise and as any fraudster would have agreed to an amount I received yet another mail. MY MAIL: Hi !

I would request you to fix the price of the vehicle to Rs 2,80,000.

Hello, I accept your offer of INR 280,000. You can consult of course anybody you consider. I contacted eBay and Escrow and they replied me that they are waiting for the car to go through their inspection procedure. They have to verify the car and the documents. As soon as that is completed they said they will contact you and send you the report with the results of the inspection and the information regarding the procedure. They estimated they will contact you later today or tomorrow so please be patient a couple of time. Thank you, Elisha
