Fraudulent international transactions on SBI Credit Card

This is to inform you that my Credit Card (xxxx3153) was hacked on Sunday, 6^th August. I was alerted by the Fraud Control Unit, SBI Credit Card around 3.17 pm about suspicious activity on my card. There were number of International transactions within a few minutes while my card was safely kept in my bag. It is a matter of grave concern to have credit card with large credit limits without proper security in place.

6^th August,2017 (3.17 PM onwards)

I am truly shocked to see later that within few minutes a series of OTP had been messaged on my Registered Mobile number. That means the culprits have hacked my personal phone also. I am most concerned that it may be used for any wrong purpose. The disputed transactions have been communicated to SBI.

My SBI credit card also hacked the same way on Today ^13th August,2017 (12.25 AM onwards), i have not realized those transactions message at night and noticed in the morning, around 136 international transactions message in the mobile ,almost same kind of transactions were made around 1,40,000 RS, called to SBI customer care and asked them to blocked card. They have asked me to send the disruptive transaction form and list of transactions and forwarded the same.

It seems these hackers only targeted for SBI credit cards holders repeating the same for every week end.SBI people need to take serious consideration on this issue, I'm not sure what they have hacked whether personal mobile numbers or credit card information.

Hi Venkat, similar theft has happened using my SBI credit card too. Looks like this is specific to SBI and I am using HDFC and Citi bank credit cards too but never faced any problem

Yes....I also faced the same problem SBI credit card hacked on 0850pm,15Aug2017 to 6am,16Aug2017..... almost making rs1.4 lakh....from the same listed web purchases.....so I lodged a complaint to SBI credit cards n now to cyber crime Pune today

Similar theft happened to me on my sbicard on independence day at 10.30 am. I was robbed of Approx 4 Lac. No OTP was generated for these foreign transactions. I think SBI data has some serious loopholes.

I am also another victim like you, today I got messages like you. called SBI customer care, they ask me to send chargeback form.

What to do next ??

My SBI credit card was charged for similar FACEBK fraudulent transactions and I lost around 1.6 lakhs. Seems like SBI is not a reliable bank to hold credit card from. I use other credit cards but never faced any issue.
