Received a call from this number on 06th November, 2019, 08:30pm. Caller was a male and aware of an actual LG complaint that was made in the morning. Caller pretended to be from LG and asked for money in Paytm for carrying out the AC work.
Money was sent and caller pointed out issues with the transaction and on the promise of refund asked for more transactions. A total of Rs 3,597 was paid and caller said money would be returned. On checking later, this number was found to be fraud and there are other complaints registered here as well.
How has paytm allowed this number to be registered? Paytm should have KYC details of the owner of this account and bank details. Request for swift action and block this person's paytm/ bank account.
